The Jerome Fliescher School for orphans is situated along Commonwealth road in matero Lusaka. It has 100 children.

It is a place where orphans find hope, transformation, growth, food, school, love and a biblical education. It is a place where young lives affected by tragedy and disease find wholeness and comfort. It a place where the abandoned find love and acceptance. The school used to meet in an old garage in George compund  before moving on to the new location. The School is non profit and all services rendered to the children are free.

Unlike other orphanages in the country, The Jerome Fliescher School strives to be self supporting by entering into income generating ventures. Right now we have a Mini bus that works like a Taxi during the week and helps pay for the orphanage rent and wages for our trained teachers.

Pray about helping the orphanage school be self supporting by getting the school  a

 Hammer Mill ($7,000)

two more Mini Buses ($12,000 each)

Volunteers are welcome!!

   Orphans

Fay began to reach out to orphans in 2003. Herself a half orphan having lost her father at 13 yrs of age. In 2003 she wanted to start a very small outreach to a few orphans feeding them and teaching them. Seeing the hopelessness in which many orphans find themselves in, she wanted to try and do something at least.

Zambia has over 1.3 million orphans and about 93,000 are on the streets. Only about 130,000 are receiving any form of help. Worse still Muslims are taking in many orphans and converting them to Islam. One Islamic school was closed by the government after it was found out that the children were also being trained to be Child soldiers .

Fay felt the worst thing in life was to do nothing when things are desperate. She raised money to buy food by selling tomatoes which she grew and eventually God began bringing others to support the work. When she started she planned on having 20 orphans, almost 400 showed up and for 6 months struggled to feed and teach them. Eventually 300 had to be turned away. The ages are between 3-14. The government has now given us land and we plan to build a better orphanage to house these orphans.

Any help will go a long way in building this orphanage.
