Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was recently elected Chair of the 53 member African Union sending panic among Jewish and Christian communities on the continent. The Libyan leader replaces Tanzania's Jakaya Kikwete in the one -year-term position. In his inaugural speech he said 'I shall continue to insist that our sovereign countries work to achieve the United States Of Africa".
His public statements on Christianity and the Jews have been a source of grave concern. Christianity and Islam are Africa's main religions. Gaddafi has dismised the bible as a forgery and stated that Christianity is a religion not meant for Africans. Minorities in many northern parts of Africa (including Christians and Jews) do not enjoy freedom of worship and continue to suffer official discrimination.
In the past two years Gaddafi has disparaged the Torah/Bible and it's adherents. In 2007 he was quoted as saying that 'it was a mistake to believe that Jesus had been crucified and killed. Another man resembling Jesus was crucified in his place" While in Niger he claimed that Christianity was not a universal faith alongside Islam. "all those believers who do not follow Islam are losers" he was quoted as saying.
Kindly pray for all Bible believers of Africa that Muslims wont now have another excuse to butcher, oppress, intimidate Jews and Christians.
Outreach ps2 torrents
Thank you to those who have been praying for open doors and more salvations. I am glad to report the planting of two more brand new congregations in southern Zambia and another one in northern Zambia. kindly lift these congregations before the Lord that they will grow and not die in infancy (due to many factors like persecution, poverty and lack of leadership) as has been the case with some of the congregations we have planted in the past.
We plan to move one of our leaders to the new location to disciple and guide these new believers and would welcome prayers and finacial help.

Our weekly radio outreach is growing.
digging of the foundation for the orphanage was completed weeks ago.
We are about to launch two weeks of outreach in different parts of the country and kindly lift our efforts as we reach the unreached with the life saving gospel.
We now have news concerning the Islamic Imam who converted and was put under house arrest by his community. He is well and still desires to get out of the country to a bible school where he can learn how to reach Muslims with the gospel. Isaac (the former Imam) was confined for over a year at one time.

- Cholera to be contained as it has affected the orphanage and all the schools in the area .The government has closed the schools. The orphanage is still open but operating below capacity.
- More laborers for the work here.
