Shalom Newsletter.
January 2011 Newsletter.
A word from Alex.
Greetings from the heart of Africa. We have a lot to thank God for and to thank many of you for. Thank you for praying for us and thank you for supporting the work here. Like most people out there on mission fields will agree with me, your support and prayers is like fuel which helps us to take the gospel and the love of God out there.

We have given out thousands of bibles.
Africa needs the gospel more than foreign aid. The gospel has a way of changing people and communities and thus bringing development through the biblical virtues of hard work and productivity. The battle to change mindsets is one of the toughest ever fought and we are in the center of it. Hopelesness is what much of Africa is all about. Most people live in the present with no thought for the future.
We all know that when you are certain about your future, you are better able to face the present. An eternal mindset will help you maintain a hope-filled perspective. Thank you for helping us bring the gospel of hope to Jews, Muslims, animists and the lost.
Court case.
We will be in court February 1st 2011 over our orphanage frontage. Kindly join the 151 orphans and staff members of Zambia Messianic Fellowship and Jerome Fleischer orphanage in praying and fasting on January 31st.
This will be our third year in court case and the court case is still dragging on. We have spent a lot of money on lawyers and legal fees. Pray that the outcome will be favorable and the case will be disposed of without further adjournments.
Orphanage.

We have a praise report. 18 orphans from our orphanage school wrote the 7th grade leaving examinations required by law of all 7th graders. Even though coming from an orphangage struggling to provide quality education, food and school supplies 15 orphans made it to the 8th grade. Without passing this examination no student is allowed to go on to the 8th grade and many drop out of school because there always are fewer places in the 8th grade than the 7th grade. Thank you again for helping our orphans to shine.
The Chinkuli congregation still desperately needs a roof. The congregants still meet without a roof and we have had above average rains so far. We fear the walls may weaken due to exposure to rains. Please do pray and consider helping provide a roof for this congregation.
Holocaust Memorial.
The United Nations office in Lusaka has again invited us to this year's United Nations holocaust memorial. Others invited are the German ambassador, the Jewish community, the minister of education and several schools.
We live in a periold were some are denying the holocaust. Pray especially for the students that they were learn and combat anti-semitism.
Vandalism of Jewish grave yard in Livingstone.
We have also learnt with shook the vandalism of the Jewish cemetery in Livingstone. Livingstone was the first capital of Zambia (then Northern Rhodesia) and it was established largely by Jewish merchants. Most of the Jewish people have left Livingstone for Lusaka and the Copperbelt.
