October 2008 Newsletter.
Shalom and greetings from Zambia.
AFRICA
Over 250,000 people are on the run from a brutal civil war in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Burundi and Rwanda are being accused of being behind the rebel forces trying to oust the President of the Congo Laurent Kabila. As usual women, children, the disabled, the aged are all affected as well as believers. Refugee camps have been looted and burnt to the ground. Kindly lift the situation in prayer that peace will prevail in this region that has seen a lot of senseless bloodshed.
Zambia went to the polls on October 30th 2008 (after the death of President Mwanawasa in September)and results are still coming in. The acting president Rupiah Banda is trailing opposition leader Michael Sata. Some have said they will not concede defeat. kindly pray for peace to prevail in Zambia. Your prayers go a long way.
THE MINISTRY

Our Chinkuli congregation was destroyed in a storm. No one was hurt but the tin roof was completely blown away and some walls fell down.

The New Grainmill.
I am glad to announce the purchase of the new grain mill to help raise funds to run and feed the orphans. First of all I would like to say thank you to our Heavenly Father who has made this prayer request into a reality and a big THANK YOU to all our partners who contributed to this good cause. May He bless you a hundredfold.
OUTREACH
About 2.5 million listen to our weekly radio program and November 23 will be the last broadcast. Kindly pray on how you could help millions listen to the word of G-d by donating a $81 gift per program.
We are still looking for more sponsors to help build the Jerome Fleischer Orphanage. The perimeter wall has been completed. Thousands of orphaned children live on the streets in Zambia. There are over 30 million orphans in sub-Sahara Africa. For us who are believers we know that true and pure religion involves taking care of orphans and widows (James 1:27). G-d has brought 123 orphans under our care and our prayer is to house them too. Apart from giving them school and food we plan to give them a roof over their heads. Kindly pray how you can partner with us to make this a reality. We plan to build in four phases and each phase will cost $50,000.
