Shalom Newsletter.
September 2011 Newsletter.
A word from Alex.
Shalom from Zambia and a Happy Rosh Hashanna!!
Self surrender does not mean jumping off a bridge. Self surrender means surrendering the self. Putting aside the "I want," the "I need," "I think such-and-such." "Even the I am" Self surrender is the subliminal drive behind all authentically good deeds.
Have a great day!

We hosted messianic believer Ashleigh and her friend Tenyise from Zimbabwe for over a week. The two sisters were such a great blessing. They worked with the orphans and helped paint at the new orphanage building.
New development
Zambia went to the polls on September 20th and the opposition won the elections. Our new president Michael Sata is a firm supporter of Robert Mugabe and has promised more money to the poor unemployed Zambians. Zambia is the largest copper producer in Africa. The local currency has hit its lowest in 14 months and there is a sense of apprehension in the air. Please do pray for Zambia that wrong policies will not be put in place to take the country backward.
PRAISE REPORT.
Work has commenced on the completion of the last phase of the orphanage building and we are so excited to finish the work and begin boarding the homeless orphans.

The Shalom Zambia radio outreach is back on the airwaves thanks to our faithful supporters. Already we are receiving encouraging positive feedback from across Zambia. Pray with us that more will be touched by the word of God and turn to The God of Israel. The Shalom Zambia radio outreach goes to over 2.5 million listeners.
we would also like to thank those who have helped us acquire some Bibles to give out to believers who can't afford to buy a Bible.

One of our repaired mini vans.
Two of our three minivans have finally been repaired thanks again to God and to our faithful supporters who have made this possible. The mini Vans have been used to raise funds to support the work of the orphanage and ministry. We are still praying for $3000 to repair the last mini van.
CONGREGATIONS
There has been great personal growth among many in the congregation. We thank God for the unity and love which He has now bestowed upon us. We went through pruning a few years ago and there were many hurts but we thank God for the healing and Joy which he has once again bestowed upon us through Messiah Yeshua.
Pray that God will raise more leaders to lead the young congregations and to participate in outreach, discipleship and trainning of new leaders.
We will also be conducting a mikvah (Baptism) for about 14 members at our Beth Messiah congregation. Among those to be immersed are my firstborn Tamar (Thabile who is now 7), my orphaned nephews Shimon, Collins ,my orphaned nieces Musoka and Shira. My brother in law Titus is also being immersed. Hallelujah!!
Our brother Dingley and his bride Charity wed under a Chupa at our Beth Messiah Congregation.
Court case.
We are still awaiting a new date for our court case. We have been given a new Judge but no date yet for the orphanage court case.
The matter at hand is that we were sued for our land even though we have all the valid title and building approvals. Kindly pray that God will prevail over man and that we will not lose our frontage.
Orphanage.
We have had a number of sick orphans lately. Kindly pray for these orphans who have been ill, Isaac, Rodgers, Triza, Chomba and Bwalya.
We would like to thank Beth Messiah Synagogoue in Sarasota Florida for sending a box of toys to our orphans. Thank you and God bless.
Kindly pray for Florence who is the head teacher at the orphanage school. She has been doing very poorly health wise.
Sponsor an Orphan project.
You can now sponsor an orphan for only $25 a month at the Jerome Fleischer orphanage school. Sponsoring an orphan will give you an opportunity to correspond with your sponsored orphan, to pray for him or her, help them try to recover their lost childhood and it will also give you the opportunity to encourage the child to do well in school.
Your sponsorship will allow us to give the children three meals a day as opposed to one meal a day, school supplies, medical care and housing when the orphanage building is completed. Step into the world of an orphan and be a life changer. All donations towards sponsoring an orphan should be given through Congregational Roeh Israel (see bottom of this newsletter). To sponsor an orphan contact our USA representative Debra Green at zmforphanage@gmail.com or call 303-219-4591
We also have opportunities for one time giving at the end of the newsletter..
