About The Orphanage.
The Jerome Fleischer orphanage was established in 2002 by Fay Yalenga and ever since it has been taking care of orphans. The Jerome Fleischer orphanage is fully regestered with the Zambian government and currently we are almost 90% done in building a 24/7 facility in Rockfield. Our Matero orphanage school has 151 orphans and is currently operating as a day care providing a free education, food and clothing.
The Jerome Fleischer orphanage prides itself in the offering of high levels of academic and biblical education, nutritious food and a highly motivated staff.
We have 151 children under our care (81 girls and 70 boys) aged from around 2years to 16 years of age. We are distinguished from other orphanages in Africa in that we strive to be self supporting. In order to achive this we have three mini vans operating as taxis, a grain mill, and hope to open a shop.

Volunteers are welcome. We have opportunities for teaching, building, cooking, feeding, repairing furniture and just loving the children. Volunteers must support themselves finacially and must have a recommendation from their spiritual leaders.
